There is a fear of a new crisis due to dengue, malaria after the floods in Sindh

Pakistani authorities have warned that a health crisis could arise after the recent flood devastation in the country.

During the rescue efforts of the flood victims in different parts of the country, medical experts are seeing an increase in dengue, malaria and stomach diseases.

Many flood-affected people are living near standing water and there have been many deaths due to dengue, the cases of which are increasing day by day.

3830 dengue cases have been reported in Pakistan's Sindh province, while at least 10 people have died so far.

However, it is feared that these figures are less than the actual situation.

Secretary General of Pakistan Medical Association Dr. Abdul Ghafoor Shoro told BBC that the situation in Sindh is very bad. We are conducting medical camps across the province. Most of the cases are dengue, malaria is the second most prevalent disease.

He said that there is pressure in the entire province due to dengue and it is increasing. When we found out from the laboratories, the suspected cases are about 80 percent compared to the tests.

Dr. Khalid Khosa is also monitoring the spread of dengue in Sindh. Dr. Khalid Khosa said that he is worried about the situation of flood .

"We are trying to reach everyone, but we do not have the capacity to help everyone in this flood situation."

"We are seeing more than hundreds of patients on a daily basis. Besides, there are many survivors who we cannot see. It is not just happening to us. This is the situation in the entire province of Sindh.

"We are doing our best to save people from these diseases but I am also sorry that we are witnessing a human catastrophe."

Countless people are affected by dengue, malaria and various stomach diseases and we cannot help them all.

Then what will happen? Obviously there will be deaths. We need to try to save them.''
